Chia seeds are still a super popular topic on my blog. Ever since I wrote my first chia article, I have been receiving a constant stream of visitors, inquiries and comments on the subject of chia seeds. I am overwhelmed and amazed by the many positive testimonials. I personally like to use chia seeds in muesli (the chia muesli with apple and cinnamon is particularly delicious) or in a smoothie or drink, such as the chia fresca in this example.
I particularly appreciate their filling effect and the many positive ingredients. Chia seeds are a good source of protein and also a source of plant-based omega-3.
Chia Fresca - Delicious chia drink
Ingredients (for 1 person)
Juice of one lemon (approx. 3 tablespoons)
1 teaspoon of maple syrup
1 teaspoon of chia seeds
3 dl of cold water
a few ice cubes
Preparation
Squeeze the lemon and pour into a large glass. Mix with the maple syrup and chia seeds. Fill the glass with cold water and stir again. Leave to stand for about 10 minutes so that the chia seeds swell. Then add the ice cubes and garnish with a slice of lemon. The delicious chia drink is ready.
