Baked vegetables from the tray - also suitable for vegetable lovers

I'm always on the lookout for ways to prepare food that is tasty but requires little effort. I love the oven for this!

This is one of the best ways I know of to make vegetables tasty, even for picky eaters. You can prepare almost any vegetable this way. Baking makes them slightly sweet and so they taste very pleasant to most people. Another advantage of this method is that you don't have to supervise the vegetables while they are cooking.

This means that you can take care of preparing the rest of the food in the meantime, or you can chat with your guests in peace while the vegetables are cooking in the oven.

Oven-baked vegetables recipe

  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil
  • Sea salt to taste

Preparation:

broccoli-gebacken-ofengemuese-compressorPreheat the oven to 200 degrees. Mix the vegetables well with the oil in a bowl and sprinkle with salt.

Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper, leaving enough space around the vegetables.

Bake in the oven until the corners are lightly toasted and the vegetables are soft. It depends a little on the vegetables and, of course, how small they are cut.

My tip: Check the oven after 15 minutes and let the vegetables continue to bake until they are lightly browned. Every oven is different, so please don't rely on my times here, but just take a quick look in the oven to see if anything is turning black.

Serving suggestions for baked vegetables from the tray

I really like oven-baked vegetables in summer with grilled meat or fish, and in winter I like to combine them with sauce dishes.

You can also serve the oven-baked vegetables cold, for example with dips such as hummus or homemade mayonnaise or yoghurt sauce.
