The path to conscious breathing

Anders Olsson came across the topic of breathing in 2009 when he read the book "How to get rid of asthma for good by changing your breathing habits" - even though he didn't have asthma himself. What fascinated him was the effect on his mind: he was able to switch off his "turbo" and became calmer and more present. This experience changed his life.

From entrepreneur to breathing teacher

Before becoming involved with health, Anders was a successful entrepreneur. But despite his financial success, he felt empty. The constant stress - almost like an addiction at the time - eventually led him to dedicate himself to the topic of health and develop the concept of "Conscious Breathing".

The underestimated power of nasal breathing

"The mouth is for eating, the nose is for breathing," says Anders. Nasal breathing has many advantages: it keeps the airways moist, filters particles out of the air and ensures better air purification. If you exhale through your mouth, you lose 42% more water - which can have negative consequences for your lungs in the long term.

CO₂ - a misunderstood molecule

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is often only seen as a "waste product". But according to Anders, it is an essential component of a healthy respiratory system. It regulates the blood vessels, ensures optimal oxygen supply to the brain and even has a calming effect on the nervous system - provided it is in balance with oxygen.

Sleep, stress and breathing

Many people breathe through their mouth during sleep - which can lead to poor sleep, dry mouth and even nightmares. This can be improved by simply masking your mouth at night. CO₂ therapy with the Carbohaler or CardiSuit can also help to restore balance in the body and deepen sleep.

A Impressive case history

A woman from Sri Lanka suffered from insomnia, nightmares and PTSD for over ten years. After her first CO₂ therapy, she slept for 16 hours straight. She stopped taking her antidepressants, passed her driving test and went from choleric to a valued manager. When she had to go without therapy for two months, the symptoms returned - and with therapy, they disappeared again.

Conclusion

Breathing has a greater impact on our health than most people realize. Anyone who breathes more consciously - ideally through the nose - and sees CO₂ not as an enemy but as an important part of the respiratory system can benefit both physically and mentally.
