In our latest episode of the Darmglück Podcast, I had the pleasure of talking to Dr. Vilmos Fux about SIBO, or small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. We discussed how even good bacteria in the small intestine can cause problems, what typical symptoms are and how to diagnose SIBO. Dr. Fux explains the importance of breath testing and the use of lactulose.
We also talked about the risk factors for SIBO, such as enzyme deficiencies and leaky gut, as well as effective therapies such as antibiotics and phytotherapy.
