Arktis Insider, the gut health podcast for therapists from Switzerland, starts soon
In conversations with therapists, I notice time and again that gut health is often forgotten because they are focusing on something completely different. Which is of course normal. If you are a physiotherapist, for example, you focus on the injury or the musculoskeletal system.Today I'm going to talk about why gut health is relevant for every type of therapist. I would also like to ask for your feedback for this podcast. In addition, there will be an offer for therapists from Switzerland. Namely a new podcast by and with me.
By therapists, I basically mean anyone who offers services for people's health, whether they are doctors, masseurs, alternative practitioners or osteopaths. Even pharmacists are increasingly offering consultations and analysis in pharmacies.I think all these people should have at least a basic understanding of the topic of gut health.
Why a basic understanding of gut health is so important
The gut is important for the absorption of nutrients, the immune system, detoxification, the production of neurotransmitters and hormones and for communication with the brain. Through all these connections, it is crucial for the entire metabolism and ultimately also for the health of the entire human system. An example of this is
If you are a gynecologist, for example, and the topic of the gut is not on your radar, then it may well be that you don't think about infertility, recurring bladder infections or mood swings in your patients, as these complaints are very closely correlated with the gut.
Of course you can suggest fertility treatments, give antibiotics or antidepressants. But what if you could have reached your goal much faster with a bowel cleansing and dietary adjustment and also prevented the symptoms from simply being shifted due to medication side effects? Or that the problems were gone for a short time, but then reappeared?
Here's a little story. We have just moved into a house. The house has a hot tub on the terrace. The previous owner told us that we had to refill the hot tub every two weeks because the water kept evaporating. He obviously always did this. We immediately realized that there was something wrong with the pool. We called in a specialist, who quickly established that the pool had a leak. It had probably been there for years!
Of course, you can always refill the water at the top and you can also use the whirlpool. But as soon as you are away for a longer period of time and the water level drops too low, the motor may break down as a result.
And it's the same with the gut. The gut is our root, our center and is the basis of everyone's health. If something is wrong in the gut, you can treat it, give medication, more and more. But as soon as you If you stop using it, the symptoms will return.
And that's why I believe that every therapist should have at least a basic understanding of this. Not to replace conventional medicine. But rather to strengthen the foundation and ensure that further therapies can take effect at all.
My offer for therapists
One way in which I would like to support therapists in gaining this understanding of the gut and not forgetting the gut in therapy is my new podcast for therapists from Switzerland. The podcast will be calledArktis Insider. And it will be in Swiss German. The topics are already set, we will start with 12 episodes, for example aboutmicrobiome analysis in your therapeutic practice. How you can motivate your clients on the topic ofnutrition, how you can recognize that the topic of the gut is important for a client. For whichcomplaints you can use our newproducts, but also topics frommarketing, product sales, product development andfurther training will be addressed. I'm really looking forward to it!

If you are not a therapist, but live in Switzerland and have a therapist who is open to topics such as nutrition and gut health, it would be wonderful if you would recommend my podcast to others!
This podcast - Darmglück - will of course continue! And although I have designed this podcast to appeal primarily to laypeople who are interested in healthy eating or gut health because they may have problems in this area, I have of course noticed that many therapists also listen in. That makes me very happy, of course!
Your feedback is welcome
And last but not least, I would like to ask everyone, whether you are a therapist, from Switzerland or from another country, to help me make the podcast even better!I would like to know what you like about my podcast, what I can optimize and also if there are any topics you would like to see! Therefore I have created a smallquestionnaire created.
It takes no more than 5 minutes to complete. But it's super helpful for me and I'd like to thank you in advance. You can be sure that your participation in the survey will make me very happy. ANY feedback is super important to me and enriches me and my work.
