A stool analysis is worthwhile for persistent digestive problems
Although social media and reality TV have made us accustomed to people sharing even the most intimate details of their lives, the subject of bowels and bowel movements is still a taboo in society. Many people are disgusted to look at their own stool, let alone fill it into tubes to have it analyzed. My appeal with this podcast episode is: take a pragmatic approach to the topic! Stool samples are quick to take and provide you with information about your health. They are a good way to get to the bottom of chronic complaints and should not be ignored in a holistic approach to health.
In this episode, I talk about, among other things:
👉 What the process of a microbiome analysis is like here
👉 What you can tell from a microbiome analysis
👉 Which complaints are worth analyzing
👉 How a microbiome analysis differs from a colonoscopy or routine stool tests by your GP
👉 The importance ofto bring up the topic with your therapist
👉 Why you should also talk to your children about bowelhealthand bowelmovements
I hope I have been able to encourage you to pay more attention to the topic of bowel health, digestion and bowel movements. If you have any questions about microbiome analysis or are looking for a good therapist, feel free to write to us or give us a call!
