Dietary supplements have a bad reputation - rightly so?
Dietary supplements often have a bad reputation. In my opinion, this is due to the following points:
- Food supplements are often sold as a side income by people who don't know much about them
- There are indeed bad products with a poor price-performance ratio on the market
- People often make the mistake of thinking that taking dietary supplements alone will solve all their health problems. But without a change in diet, a healthy lifestyle and a good inner attitude, it just won't work!
- In our society, accepting help is seen as a weakness. Many people prefer to "do it all themselves".
If you ask me whether you can achieve the same goals without dietary supplements, just with a healthy diet? Maybe you can! But it often takes longer and you have to implement the measures much more strictly.
My tips for achieving good results with dietary supplements
- Get support from someone who really knows about this and about nutrition
- First determine where the problem lies or what your health goals are
- See dietary supplements for what they really are: a crutch to help you get better faster
- Work with your therapist or pharmacist to find the supplements that are right for you and your health
- Pay attention to the quality of the food supplements (no additives, genetic engineering, heavy metals, etc.)
- Make sure you also take your diet and lifestyle into account
