DG109: Julia, how are you dealing with the current crisis?

In this episode, I answer the following question from a podcast listener:
"How do you cope with all the prescriptions and suggestions that influence the masses and all those who search more critically and deeply are equal to conspiracy theorists. I have absolutely no fear of viruses, but this inappropriate, opinion- and freedom-robbing "enlightenment" robs me of sleep and fills me with stress. I no longer feel balanced and at peace with myself. I have the feeling that if I don't fight against it internally and externally, I will give up and resign. I don't want that and yet I can feel how it's destroying me. I just can't see anything good about this development."

I'll tell you, among other things:
  • How I strengthen my body and my health
  • What thoughts give me strength
  • Which mentors stand by my side
  • Which friends have helped me move forward
  • How I deal with social media
  • Why painting is so healing for me
On the one hand, it's a very personal episode, but on the other, I hope that my personal journey will also give you inspiration for your own path!

This could be a very long episode, because I've already thought a lot about it and have also fallen into a deep hole myself on the way to my current position.
To say it straight away: I don't believe that the official truth currently being dictated to us by the government and the press is true. Nor do I believe that scaremongering, division, restrictions and the total elimination of personal responsibility will get us anywhere.
If the government really cared about our health, it would have done much more in this direction long ago. Nowadays, we know how to get civilization diseases such as diabetes, autoimmune diseases or cardiovascular problems under control. If the government wanted us to be healthy, it would have the knowledge of how to achieve this. If necessary, with regulations, as is apparently now suddenly possible. But banning smoking or fast food was always too much of an invasion of people's privacy.
However, this podcast episode is not intended to dictate my opinion to you - you can form your own. I just want to show you how I personally deal with the situation and hope that you can benefit from it. Just as the questioner has requested.
For me, there are different ways of dealing with the crisis, I'll divide them roughly into body, mind and soul and start with the body first:

I'm strengthening my health and therefore my immune system

My mind needs positive nourishment

  • I read as little mass media as possible
  • As long as I consume mass media or something energy-sapping, I consume positive reading afterwards
  • I also get information from alternative sources that do not follow the opinions dictated to us (e.g. on Facebook, Telegram, YouTube)
  • How I use Facebook: I connect with people who think like me. In my opinion, the platform is not suitable for discussions.
  • I also stick to people who are positive in my private life.
  • I get inspiration from my coach Jim Fortin (podcast example When is a Good Day to Die) and Brooke Castillo (podcast example How to Disagree with Someone)
  • Focus on what you want in life, not on what you don't want ("You are where your attention is" Jim always says. You are where your attention is)

My soul is the real me

  • We are in the world to develop ourselves and to support others in their development
  • For me, painting is something that grounds me, but also gives me access to my higher truth
  • Anyone can paint, pictures and colors speak to us
  • My pictures make others feel good: my Instagram channel is https://www.instagram.com/juliagruberart/
  • Vision: self-hypnosis, you can also write it down, combine it with feeling. the more emotionally charged you are about something, the faster it manifests itself
  • Oracle Cards: Earth Warriors by Alana Fairchild
  • Connect with nature
  • Feeling of gratitude

A quote and an image for dealing with the crisis

Finally, I would like to share a text shared by my friend Uta Nimsgarn. The source is a little unclear, apparently they are from a Hopi Indian named White Eagle, dated March 27, 2020. I tried to research this, but didn't really find it. But it doesn't matter, I find the words very touching, no matter who they come from.
I have even painted a picture to accompany this text, which I am happy to share here and which you can also save (for your personal use only, of course, not for reproduction or commercial purposes) so that it reminds you of the following words:
Krise
This moment humanity is experiencing can be seen as a gate or a hole. The decision to fall into the hole or step through the gate is up to you.
If you are regretting the problem and consuming news around the clock, with negative energy, constantly on edge, with pessimism, you will fall into that hole.
But if you take the opportunity to look at yourself, to consider life and death, to take care of yourself and others, then you will go through the portal. Take care of your home, take care of your bodies. Connect with your spiritual home.
When you take care of yourself, you take care of everyone else at the same time. Do not underestimate the spiritual dimension of this crisis.Take the perspective of an eagle seeing the whole from above - with an expanded view.
There is a social demand in this crisis, but there is also a spiritual one. Both go hand in hand.
Without the social dimension, we fall into fanaticism. But without the spiritual dimension, we fall into pessimism and futility. We are prepared to go through this crisis.
Take your toolbox and use all the tools at your disposal.Learn resistance from the example of Native American and African peoples:We have been and are still being exterminated. But we have never stopped singing, dancing, lighting a fire and having fun.
Don't feel guilty about feeling happiness during these difficult times. It doesn't help at all to be sad and lacking in energy. It helps when good things come from the universe now.IT IS THROUGH JOY THAT ONE RESISTS!It is through joy that one resists!
Even though the storm has passed, each and every one of you will be very important in rebuilding this new world. You must be strong and positive. And there is no other way to do this than to maintain a beautiful, joyful and light-filled vibration.
This has nothing to do with unworldliness. It is a strategy of resistance.
In shamanism there is a rite of passage called "the search for foresight".They spend a few days alone in the forest, without water, without food, without shelter. When they go through the gate, they get a new view of the world because they have faced their fears, their difficulties.
This is what is required of you now:Allow yourself to use this time to perform your vision quest rituals. What world do you want to create for yourself?
That's all you can do right now: Serenity in the storm. Stay calm, pray daily. Make it a habit to meet the sacred every day. Good things will come from it. What comes out of you now is the most important thing. And sing, dance, show resistance through art, joy, trust and love! Resist!

I hope this episode has given you a few ideas on how you can deal with the crisis personally. Of course, I would also be very interested to hear how you handle it for yourself, whether you have any tips that you can pass on to other listeners and so it would be great if you could share your approach with us in the comments at the bottom of the page. It's quite possible that your tip will help someone who has just been looking for help!
