DG039: Seven concrete strategies for a healthier gut

[g_podcast id="9673874"]

In this podcast episode I talk about, among other things
  • That physical complaints can almost always be supported by nutrition
  • That you can't break anything so quickly with nutrition
  • Why you shouldn't believe me and why you are the authority in your own life
  • And: I'll give you seven concrete strategies to improve your gut health

Today I'm going to give you a few specific strategies on how you can take your gut health to the next level. The gut determines 80% of your health and therefore your health benefits from eating well.

Whether you have digestive problems, allergies, asthma, skin problems, inflammation, chronic pain and much more - you can always achieve something with your diet!

Are there any complaints that you can't positively influence with your diet or gut health?

I believe that almost all chronic conditions in the body would benefit from taking care of your diet and gut health. This doesn't mean that you can solve everything with nutrition and that you don't need to do anything else for your health.

But we are built from what we eat and if we want to be healthy, our metabolism has to work properly!

You can't go wrong with your diet

If you have chronic complaints, it's worth changing your diet in addition to the other measures. You have nothing to lose. It's just important to be vigilant and listen to your body's signals. If you notice that the change in diet is not doing you any good, you can always change it again! From one day to the next!

But if it does you good, you will notice that your diet makes a decisive contribution to your body's ability to heal itself again. In the following seven strategies for a healthier gut, I'll tell you what you can look out for in your diet.

Incidentally, many people's biggest fear is that if they cut out certain things such as sugar or wheat, they will never be allowed to eat sweets or pasta again. Of course, that's not the case! It's much more about cleansing your system first and rebooting it, so to speak. As soon as this is done, you can of course loosen up your diet again.

Seven strategies for a healthier gutTry

out these strategies consistently, without exception, for 14 days. This is the only way you can judge whether things are actually improving. The aim is to reduce inflammation in the body and become more sensitive again to which foods are good for you and which are not.

1. Eat only 3 times a day
Or even 2 times, it is important in any case to take a break of 4-5 hours between meals so that your digestive organs get a break

2.Cut out sugar and fast carbohydrates
So that you don't get ravenous all the timeEat more vegetables and good fats

3.Avoid raw food
Raw food is difficult to digest. If you have intestinal problems, eat cooked or cooked food instead (you can also eat it cold)

4. Avoid grains and wheat
Especially if you suffer from chronic problems such as allergies, Hay fever, asthma,

5. Approach it in such a way that this is a cure and not forever
The aim is that you can feel that you are feeling better and whether there are things in your diet that are causing discomfort. Of course, you don't have to leave anything out "forever" unless you clearly feel that it really isn't doing you any good, even in the long term.

6. Test again what works and what doesn't
After the 14 days, it makes sense to add foods back in or test whether you can tolerate them or not.

7. Also include other areas
Reduce stress, do things you enjoy, cultivate relationships, do work with joy

Don't be fooled by the simplicity of these strategies. They have been tested in practice for years and are very powerful because they bring a sense of achievement in a short space of time.
