In this episode, I interview intuition coach Angela Heck. Among other things, we talk about:
I'm delighted to welcome Angela Heck to the podcast today. I met Angela at a business event and was fascinated by her presentation where she said that she has never lost touch with her sensitive side. I knew immediately that I had to talk to her!
Angela Heck was born highly sensitive and has never lost or suppressed this gift. Like me, she originally studied hotel management and, as she revealed to me, has a love for Basel, where I live, although she lives in the Zurich area herself.
As an intuition coach, she helps people to reactivate their own intuition, because we are all intuitive. Angela has a coaching practice in the center of Zurich and works online with her clients worldwide. She is also the host of the podcast "Business Tips for Gut Feelings", where you can also find an interview with me.
I got to know Angela as a very exciting, emotional, funny and direct woman and I am delighted to have her in this interview today! She gives us a little insight into her world and also very specific tips on how we can learn to trust our intuition again. Have fun listening!
The topic of today's episode is intuition, or 'gut feeling', which even its name suggests a connection with the intestines.
The first thing I was interested in, of course, was how Angela sees the connection between the intestinal organ and our intuition.
Angela sees the connection to the solar plexus and the proximity of the intestine to the solar plexus. If there are things that are not as they should be, then it hits us on the stomach or the gut reacts.
If you're not sure what your physical symptoms might have to do with your psyche, Angela gives us the following tips:
First and foremost, listen carefully. Ask mothers, ask brothers, ask fathers, who may say that you've always felt sick. Or pay attention to your own statements and words.
But you can always do this: Ask yourself, what does it have to do with me? Because it's quite possible that we take on things from people around us that have nothing to do with us.
A useful exercise is to put your hand on your heart and feel how you feel. Does it feel like it belongs to me or not? The heart knows. The heart is the most honest guide.
We can learn to listen to our intuition again. Angela says: We are all intuitive. It's about rebuilding trust. One way to test this out: we can feel a "yes" in our body. Stand with both feet on the floor, breathe in and out well a few times and ask for a clear "yes" in your body. Feel into your body to see if anything moves, if it gives you a sign. Do the same exercise with a 'no'.
In this way, you can feel into your body in the future if you don't know what to do, whether you can tolerate a food or whether a decision needs to be made.
Angela already 'knew' things as a child. But she didn't share this knowledge. However, there was a crucial moment in Angela's life when she didn't listen to her intuition. When she was 18 years old, she got into a cab even though she had a bad feeling about it. The result: she was involved in a car accident and ended up in hospital.
That was her wake-up call that she could speak out loud what she knew intuitively without being burned as a witch.
Many people who come to Angela don't even realize that trusting their intuition would be the best solution for them. Most of them have a health problem that just won't go away, or they have everything they want in their lives and still feel empty.
And this is where Angela supports them in building a bridge to their own soul. Because you can make a big difference very quickly and then it has an impact on all areas of your life, whether in your health, at work, in your relationship or in your family.
Angela emphasizes: "If you want to be healthy, you have to suffer" is an old wives' tale. We were not born to be tortured and martyred.
It is our birthright to be happy.
Happiness is not a destination, it is the journey. You can always be happy. And that's exactly what goes so well with the topic of intestinal happiness.
Organically, the intestine stands for our roots. And in life, our family and our ancestors have to do with our roots in life. That's why I asked Angela to say something about this too.
Angela works with a method called family constellations. She says:
Our family field is an energy field and has a big influence on our lives. You can easily resolve things in this field without having to go through old suffering. The important thing is to to dissolve and bring peace.
Here you can book a free introductory conversation with Angela and find out whether she is the right person to help you a little further.
I hope you enjoyed the interview as much as I did! My aim with Darmglück is to open your mind to topics that are not directly related to nutrition and the gut.
Yes, I am convinced that starting with the body is helpful. And that a healthy diet is the foundation of health. But once you've laid this foundation, it's helpful to take the focus away from food and the physical organ of the gut and look at other things, such as intuition and listening to your heart.
Because the more sides you approach your health from, the quicker and easier you'll be healthy and full of energy.
