Biting and swallowing are part of the exercise and take place after about 6 seconds of lip pressure or pulling while the tension is still present.
This applies to both the basic exercise and the pulling exercises.
In the correct procedure, swallowing is always preceded by a short bite.
If this sequence is consciously repeated on a regular basis, an automated rhythm of movement develops after a while.
Sequence: First push or pull the lip, then bite down, then swallow. Then relax briefly. During the resting phase, the lips remain closed and the pressure is only released for a few seconds.
The negative pressure is maintained throughout the entire exercise sequence. This is a desired training condition that should later be maintained without support.
